Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our store team and deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, manage transactions, restock merchandise, and keep the store clean and organized.

The role emphasizes friendly interactions, accurate handling of cash, safety, and teamwork with leaders and associates. Part-time hours are available, and prior retail or service background is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operating documents.
• Lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, and bending.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks for stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness including restrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
