Job summary

Dollar Tree, La Junta, Colorado, is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers with questions, manage sales transactions at the register, and help keep the store stocked and presentable.

This part-time position emphasizes friendly, efficient service, safety, and teamwork with leaders. Duties include unloading trucks, restocking merchandise, cleaning, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment for customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and frequent walking/standing.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
