Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our Hanover store, delivering a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle sales at the register, maintain cash security, restock merchandise, unload trucks, and keep the store clean and welcoming.

The role requires strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced retail environment. Part-time position with opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment and interact professionally with customers and staff.
• Maintain storefront cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
