Job summary

Family Dollar in DeWitt, AR is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle sales at the register, maintain store presentation, and help with stocking and unloading merchandise.

The role is part-time with emphasis on teamwork, safety, and customer relations. Prior retail or service experience is preferred, and the position requires physical capabilities for lifting and standing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful store environment.
• Operate and restock as needed to maintain presentation standards.
