Job summary

Family Dollar in Lake Village, Arkansas is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to provide excellent customer service, manage transactions, and help maintain store operations. You will assist customers, stock shelves, and ensure a clean, safe shopping environment.

The role emphasizes friendly interactions, adherence to procedures, and teamwork with store leadership. Flexibility for varied shifts is expected. Partial duties include unloading trucks and restocking as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and meet demands of standing, walking, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while operating the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store and bathrooms.
• Other duties as assigned.
