Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of New York LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, keep the store stocked, and maintain clean, safe premises at our Jamestown, NY location.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior retail or service experience. This role requires physical ability to lift 30–50 lbs and walk/stand for long periods, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Process sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness, restock bathrooms, sweep/mop floors, take out trash.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
