Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of New York LLC is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle sales transactions at the register, and ensure the store is stocked and clean.

The role requires good communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs as needed. Prior retail or service experience is highly preferred, with duties expanding to safety, teamwork, and excellent customer interactions.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Keep the store clean, including bathrooms, floors, and waste management.
• Other duties as assigned.
