Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Asheville is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers, process transactions, stock shelves, and help unload trucks while keeping the store clean and safe.

The role requires the ability to lift 30–50 lbs, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and prior retail or service experience is preferred. This is a part-time role with weekend availability often needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store and restock bathrooms, floors, and waste areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
