Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Cary, North Carolina is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to provide a friendly shopping experience. You will assist customers, operate the register, stock shelves, and help with unloading shipments to keep our store inviting and organized.

The role requires excellent communication, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You’ll work with store leadership to maintain safety, merchandising, and exceptional service for diverse customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail or similar environments is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and handle repetitive movements.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; solid problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while operating the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading; stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and colleagues.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
