Job summary

Family Dollar LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist with questions, manage transactions, and help keep the store stocked and clean.

The role requires strong customer service, organization, and communication skills, with the ability to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for long periods. Part-time opportunities exist in Hillside, NJ and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help unload trucks.
• Stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and respectful store environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
