Job summary

Family Dollar LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and provide a great shopping experience for every customer. The role involves assisting customers, handling transactions, stocking merchandise, and maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

We welcome applicants with a high school diploma or equivalent and prior retail or service experience. The position is part-time and requires physical stamina for routine lifting and movement around the store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professionals and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms, floors, and waste disposal.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.
