Dollar Tree is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our Alpena, MI store and deliver a friendly shopping experience. You’ll assist customers, handle transactions, stock shelves, unload trucks, and maintain store cleanliness while upholding safety and security standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (or equivalent), retail or service experience, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the physical ability to lift 30–50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and movement.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean including bathrooms; sweep and mop floors and take out trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
