Job summary

Dollar Tree in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, stock shelves, and help unload trucks while keeping aisles clean and safe.

The role requires strong customer service, reliable communication, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs. Part-time schedule with a focus on teamwork and efficient store operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional and friendly interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and general presentation.
