Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Store Consultant consistently delivers a positive customer experience by utilizing consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions. This team member is knowledgeable in all areas of the Store's business, including print, signs & graphics, and shipping. Responsibilities include taking orders, coordinating store activities, providing pricing and product information, and recommending FedEx Office products and services. The Store Consultant operates and maintains equipment, manages projects and supplies, and completes tasks based on priority.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow supervisor instructions and assist team members in store functions
  • Assist in training store staff
Service
  • Demonstrate consultative behaviors to understand customer needs
  • Provide expertise in printing, signs & graphics, and shipping products
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by anticipating needs and offering solutions
  • Resolve customer issues promptly and satisfactorily
  • Take complex orders, provide accurate pricing
  • Prepare parcels for shipping
  • Set up and operate printing and binding equipment
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized store
Profit
  • Handle customer data confidentially
  • Process transactions accurately, including cash handling
  • Maintain and repair equipment and supplies
  • Display products and signage properly
  • Prevent errors and waste
  • Complete financial paperwork and assist with reports
  • Follow operational, legal, HR, safety, and security policies

  • Perform multiple tasks simultaneously

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 6 months of specialized experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Meet employment qualifications at hiring
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Stand during entire shift
  • Lift up to 55 pounds
  • Perform bending and twisting activities
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members
  • Work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
