POSITION SUMMARY:

The Store Consultant consistently provides a positive customer experience by utilizing consultative skills to anticipate needs, suggest alternatives, and offer solutions. This team member is knowledgeable in print, signs & graphics, and shipping. Responsibilities include taking orders, coordinating store activities, providing product information, and recommending FedEx Office services. They operate equipment, manage projects, stock supplies, and handle tasks based on priority.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow supervisor instructions and assist team members.
  • Train new team members as needed.
Service
  • Demonstrate consultative behaviors to understand customer needs.
  • Recommend appropriate products and services.
  • Ensure customer problems are resolved promptly.
  • Handle complex orders and provide accurate pricing.
  • Prepare parcels for shipping and operate related equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe store environment.
Profit
  • Handle customer data confidentially.
  • Process transactions accurately, including cash handling.
  • Maintain and repair equipment and supplies.
  • Display retail products and signage properly.
  • Prevent errors and waste.
  • Complete financial paperwork and assist with reports.
  • Follow operational, safety, and security policies.
Self-Management
  • Perform multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Seek opportunities to improve skills.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Adhere to company standards and policies.
  • Perform other duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6+ months of specialized experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Meet employment qualifications at hire or transfer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Stand during entire shift.
  • Lift up to 55 pounds.
  • Perform bending, twisting, and effective communication.
  • Work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain attention and work with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain regular attendance.
