Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Store Consultant delivers a positive customer experience by using consultative skills to understand needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions. They are knowledgeable in print, signs & graphics, and shipping, and are responsible for taking orders, coordinating store activities, providing pricing and product information, and recommending FedEx Office products and services. The role involves operating equipment, managing projects, stocking materials, and completing tasks based on priority.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow supervisor instructions and assist team members.
  • Assist in training store staff.

Service

  • Demonstrate consultative behaviors to understand customer needs.
  • Recommend appropriate products and services.
  • Provide excellent customer service by anticipating needs and resolving issues promptly.
  • Take complex orders, provide accurate pricing, and prepare items for shipping.
  • Operate printing, binding, and related equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe store environment.

Profit

  • Handle customer data confidentially and process transactions accurately.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies for optimal performance.
  • Display products and signage properly.
  • Prevent errors and waste proactively.
  • Complete financial paperwork and assist with reports.
  • Follow all operational, safety, and security policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 6 months of specialized experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Stand for entire shift.
  • Lift and move up to 55 pounds.
  • Bend and twist as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
