Job summary

The TJ Maxx store is seeking a team member to deliver excellent customer service, handle purchases and returns, and maintain a clean, organized sales floor. You may be cross-trained to work in multiple areas to support business needs while upholding labor standards and loss prevention guidelines.

Responsibilities include promoting loyalty programs, maintaining store standards, and providing a positive, inclusive store culture.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Capable of multi-tasking.
• Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Retail customer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Models established customer experience practices with customers and teammates.
• Maintains store cleanliness and merchandising standards.
• Accurately rings purchases/returns and handles cash per procedures.
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs.
• Prepares merchandise for the sales floor per company standards.
• Participates in store recovery and safety initiatives.
• Assists with loss prevention and safety awareness.
• Supports and participates in shrink reduction initiatives.
