Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Retail Associate to ensure a positive shopping experience. You will greet customers, assist with merchandise, and maintain a clean store environment in alignment with company standards.

The role involves providing friendly service, handling transactions, and supporting safety and loss-prevention practices while contributing to a dynamic, treasure-hunt shopping experience for guests.

Qualifications

• Effectively communicate with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful, cooperative and pleasant manner.
• Able to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.

Responsibilities

• Assists Customers in any way necessary - is register-trained, assists Customers with merchandise, and answers Customer questions in a polite and knowledgeable manner.
• Greet all Customers by making eye contact, smiling and saying hello throughout the Store as well as saying thank you with every register transaction.
• Provides prompt and efficient responses to Customers at all times and handles Customer issues in a courteous and helpful way.
• Maintains a clean work area and ensures proper merchandise presentation.
• Performs daily sizing and recovery to ensure neat, organized store standards.
• Performs cleaning tasks and helps maintain store safety and cleanliness.
