Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Oak Ridge, TN is seeking a customer-focused associate to assist shoppers, process transactions at the register, stock and replenish merchandise, and maintain a clean, safe store environment.

You will also handle unloading trucks, prepare shelves, and provide friendly, professional service while following company policies. Part-time hours with opportunities for growth and training are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery or drug store is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping and lifting.
• Excellent customer service, relationship management, organization and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
