Job summary

Dollar Tree in Morganton, NC is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to assist customers, operate the register, stock merchandise, and maintain store cleanliness. The role emphasizes friendly, respectful interactions and adherence to store standards.

The position requires a high school diploma (preferred), the ability to lift 30–50 lbs, and strong customer service and organizational skills. Training is provided to support ongoing growth in a national discount retailer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and associates.
• Maintain store cleanliness, restrooms, floors, trash, and overall presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
