Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a part-time retail associate to join our Kansas location. You will assist customers, handle cash transactions at the register, and help maintain store cleanliness and stock levels.

The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and friendly interactions with customers and coworkers. You will contribute to a positive store environment, support merchandise receiving, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash removal, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
