Job summary

Dollar Tree in Gastonia, NC seeks a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist with questions and recommendations, manage transactions at the register, and help keep the store stocked and clean.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior retail or service experience. You should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and maintain a positive, safe environment for customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• This position prefers a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
