Job summary

Dollar Tree in Bartlett, IL is seeking a Customer Service Associate to help customers, process transactions, and maintain a clean, organized store.

You will assist with questions and recommendations, manage the cash register, stock shelves, unload trucks, and uphold safety and friendliness. The role emphasizes reliable, efficient service and teamwork with store leadership, including merchandising and daily upkeep.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in customer service in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Keep the store clean, bathrooms stocked, and areas neat and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned.
