Job summary

Michaels Stores is hiring a store team member in West Chester, OH to deliver friendly customer service and help shoppers find products. You’ll ensure fast checkout, participate in rewards enrollments, and support BOPIS/SFS processes. The role requires physical activity, weekend/evening hours, and a minimum age of 16.

This position offers $11.00-$13.00 per hour with potential overtime where allowed by law. Benefits and discount programs are available to eligible team members.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer service preferred.
• Able to stand for long periods and move around the store.
• Excellent verbal communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in the truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including the merchandise return / go back process and general store recovery to ensure a well-merchandised and in-stock store
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements
• Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner; promote commitment to the organization’s values; be a role model for other Team Members
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
