Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of New York LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions at a cash register, and help maintain a clean, organized store environment.

The role requires prior retail or customer service experience, physical ability to lift 30–50 lbs, and strong communication skills. This is a part-time, on-site position with opportunities to grow within the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail or similar environments preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking/standing.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and support stock replenishment.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment with friendly interactions.
• Maintain store cleanliness, bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
