Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of New York LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. The role is part-time and located at our store.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, handling sales transactions, stocking merchandise, and maintaining a safe, clean store environment. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and colleagues.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
