Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to join our Jacksonville, NC location. You will help customers with questions and recommendations, handle transactions at the register, and ensure a safe, friendly store environment.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, strong organizational skills, and reliable customer service experience. Training provided, with opportunities to grow within the store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and pulling.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
