Job summary

Family Dollar in Gallup, New Mexico, is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. Duties include assisting customers with questions and recommendations, managing sales transactions at the register, and helping with stock replenishment and merchandise recovery.

You should have a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred) and prior retail or service experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks associated with store duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Ensure store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
