Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Ohio LLC in Dayton is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, process sales, stock shelves, unload trucks, and keep the store clean and presentable.

The role requires a high school diploma (preferred), retail or service experience, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs, stand for long periods, and follow instructions. This part-time position offers varied shifts and opportunities within our store network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and meet demands of frequent movement and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
