Job summary

Family Dollar in Bethune, SC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers with questions and recommendations, manage sales transactions at the register, and help keep the store stocked and clean.

The role requires strong communication and reliability, the ability to lift 30–50 lbs, and the stamina for frequent walking and standing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and read operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and pulling.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment with professional interactions.
• Keep the store clean, including bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
