Job summary

Family Dollar in Marion, SC is seeking a Part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver friendly, helpful service at the register and on the floor.

You will assist customers, process transactions, stock shelves, maintain store cleanliness, and help protect assets while following store policies and procedures. This role emphasizes teamwork and a positive shopper experience.

Experience in retail or customer service is preferred, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs is helpful for stocking tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
