Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver friendly shopping experiences. You will assist customers, handle sales transactions, stock and restock shelves, unload merchandise, and keep the store clean and organized.

Candidates should have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and prior retail or service experience. The role requires physical work, strong communication, and a commitment to safety and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restrooms stocked, and areas neat and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned.
