Job summary

Dollar Tree in Newton, NC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, process sales at the register, ensure cash security, restock merchandise, and help unload trucks.

The role requires strong customer service, organizational and communication skills, and physical ability to lift 30–50 lbs. Part-time position with a focus on a clean, safe store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Able to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Physical ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent movement.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
