Job summary

Dollar Tree in Eden, North Carolina, is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, maintain cash security, stock shelves, unload merchandise, and keep the store clean and presentable.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior retail/customer service experience is preferred, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
• Other duties as assigned*
