Job summary

Family Dollar in Irvington, Kentucky is seeking a Customer Service Associate to help customers, process transactions at the register, and keep the store clean and well stocked.

You will assist shoppers, protect cash and assets, unload deliveries, restock shelves, and maintain a friendly, safe environment for customers, associates, and leaders. This part-time role offers steady hours and the chance to grow with the team.

Candidates with previous retail or service experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service in retail, hospitality, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Lift 30–50 lbs; frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and pulling.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness in the store and restrooms, floors, trash, and presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
