Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate for our New Castle, VA store to deliver a friendly shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and keep the store clean and stocked, including unloading trucks and restocking shelves.

This part-time role requires strong customer service, good communication, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs while standing and walking during shifts. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities essential.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making capabilities expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure cleanliness throughout the store, including restrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
