Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate in Eldorado, IL to assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and maintain store cleanliness and stock. The role emphasizes safe, friendly interactions and adherence to productivity standards.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, restocking merchandise, and maintaining a positive environment for customers and team members. Prior retail/customer service experience is preferred; lifting 30–50 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
