Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Kentucky LP is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, stock shelves, unload merchandise, and keep the store clean and safe.

The role requires strong customer service, communication, and teamwork, with physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods. This position is part-time and located at our Catlettsburg, KY store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks, stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful store environment with professional interactions.
• Keep store areas clean and presentable, including bathrooms and floors.
