Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to help deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, stock shelves, unload merchandise, and keep the store clean and presentable.

You will maintain a safe, friendly environment, follow instructions, and support loss prevention while working with teammates and leadership in a fast-paced retail setting in Big Run, PA.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while interacting with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall neatness.
• Other duties as assigned*.
