Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
• 18+ years old to sell tobacco, lottery, alcohol.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Present a well-groomed, professional image at all times.
• Greet and welcome customers with a smile.
• Help customers locate products.
• Upsell related products when appropriate.
• Record all sales on the cash register and collect payment.
• Understand and follow all approved payment systems and transaction processes.
• Comply with state laws for tobacco, lottery and alcohol sales.
• Promote enrollment in loyalty programs.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and report to the manager on duty.
• Oversee gas pump security and report drive-off thefts.
• Report malfunctioning equipment to the manager on duty.
• Stock coolers and shelves; ensure proper pricing.
• Maintain sanitary conditions in all food service areas.
• Participate in cleaning and maintaining a safe store.
• Adhere to lockdown policies if in effect.
• Execute security and emergency protocols.
• Report customer accidents or injuries to the manager on duty.
• Adhere to company and handbook policies.
• Complete Daily Shift Report at end of shift.
• Other duties as assigned.
