Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking an Associate at our Sunbury, PA location to provide friendly customer service, operate checkout, and assist with store operations. No previous experience required, and training will cover all necessary procedures, including handling tobacco and alcohol sales in compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or GED.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Smiles and greets customers, answers questions, and resolves concerns in a polite and professional manner.
• Identifies and shops customer orders to ensure accurate and fresh delivery.
• Operates front end scanning equipment and register, bags merchandise efficiently, places items in cart.
• Contacts customers by phone to address questions or concerns.
• Operates console to ensure accuracy.
• Maintains knowledge of weekly ads and store layout to answer questions.
• Ensures accurate transactions and proper funds are collected, following tobacco and alcohol guidelines.
• Maintains sanitation, follows cleaning schedules, and ensures health and OSHA compliance.
• Cooperates with coworkers and superiors to ensure smooth department/store operation.
• Uses PPE provided by the company.
• May assist in other departments.
