Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a friendly and dependable associate to support front-end operations in our Stroudsburg, PA store. You will greet customers, answer questions, and resolve concerns in a polite and professional manner while operating the cash register and bagging merchandise.

You’ll ensure accurate transactions, maintain cash drawer security, follow tobacco/alcohol rules, and stay knowledgeable about weekly ads and promotions.

Qualifications

• Education and/or experience completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer questions, and resolve concerns promptly in a polite, professional manner.
• Operate front-end scanning equipment and cash register, and bag merchandise properly.
• Ensure accurate transactions and proper cash handling, including checks, electronic payments, and coupons.
• Maintain cash drawer security and prevent overages/shortages.
• Follow store policies on tobacco and alcohol sales.
• Know weekly ads, promotions, and store layout to assist customers.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness to meet health and OSHA standards.
• Follow PPE guidelines and wear required gear; assist in other departments as needed.
