Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a helpful shopping experience. You will assist customers with questions, process transactions at the register, and keep the store stocked and clean.

The role emphasizes safety, cash handling, and friendly, professional interactions with customers and staff. Prior retail or service experience is preferred, and you should be able to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Highest level of education: high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery or drug store preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Physical ability to lift 30-50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, and bending.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management abilities.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and employees.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including restrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
