Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Monterey Park, CA is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to assist customers, operate the register, stock shelves, and keep the store clean and welcoming. You will help unload trucks, replenish stock, and maintain safety and professionalism in interactions with customers and team members.

Strong emphasis on customer service, communication, and organization. Prior retail or guest-service experience is valued; lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and pulling.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe and respectful environment with customers and associates.
• Keep store clean, restrooms stocked, and areas neat and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned.
