Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate in Ashland, ME to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions, and help maintain store presentation.

This part-time role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prior customer service experience. You will lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Process sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Keep store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist unloading trucks.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment.
• Keep store clean: bathrooms, floors, trash, neatness.
• Other duties as assigned.
