Job summary

Family Dollar in Madison, Maine is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, stock shelves, and keep the store orderly and welcoming.

This part-time role requires reliability, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and strong communication. You’ll work with a team to maintain clean facilities, process shipments, and support store operations while providing friendly service to customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery or drug store preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and read operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful store environment with friendly interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned
