Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Glen Allen, VA is seeking a part-time store associate to assist customers, operate the register, and help keep the store stocked and welcoming.

You will handle transactions, unload merchandise, maintain safety and cleanliness, and contribute to a friendly, efficient shopping experience for every guest.

Previous retail or service experience is preferred; strong communication and physical stamina are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned.
