Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Richmond, VA is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, process sales at the register, and help maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized store.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to lift 30–50 lbs, stock replenishment, and teamwork. Prior retail or service experience is preferred, with flexible hours and growth opportunities within the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
