Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate in Hemet, CA to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the cash register, and keep the store stocked and clean.

Responsibilities include unloading and stocking merchandise, maintaining a safe and friendly environment, and following operational instructions. Prior retail or service experience is preferred; lifting up to 50 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required
• Strong organizational and communication skills required
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and colleagues
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation
