Job summary

Bealls is seeking a Real Estate Construction Manager (Retail) in Charlotte, NC to lead construction projects from planning through turnover, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and adherence to brand standards.

The role collaborates with real estate, store operations, maintenance, and external vendors to manage new builds, remodels, relocations, and refresh programs across a multi-site retail portfolio. Requires 5+ years in retail construction management, a relevant degree, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience managing retail construction projects, including multi-site rollouts.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to interface with Legal and Real Estate teams.

Responsibilities

• Budget & Schedule Management: develop budgets and schedules for store projects; track costs and variances.
• Vendor & Contractor Oversight: lead bid processes and manage general contractors and vendors.
• Permitting, Due Diligence & Compliance: coordinate due diligence and permitting across jurisdictions.
• Construction Oversight & Store Readiness: monitor progress, reviews reports, manage punch lists and handoffs.
• Additional duties as assigned.
